Our admission process

Admission to Johannesburg School for Autism  requires a placement process facilitated by the Gauteng Department of Education, specifically within the Johannesburg East District.

A child with suspected autism needs to undergo a thorough assessment by a qualified professional. This assessment will evaluate the child’s needs and abilities.

Parents or guardians should contact the Gauteng Department of Education’s Johannesburg District office closest to their residential area, to initiate the placement process. The district office will provide the necessary application forms and guidelines.

The department will review the child’s assessment and application and determine the most suitable school based on their individual needs and the availability of resources.

If a placement is approved, parents or guardians will be informed and can proceed with the enrollment process at the assigned school
